About Erica Cheok

Hi, I’m Erica. I’m a yoga teacher, personal trainer, and nutrition coach—but more than that, I help women feel strong, steady, and at home in their bodies again.

I created Sunyata Yoga to be a space where movement becomes a practice of coming back to yourself. My classes weave together yoga, strength training, and Buddhist-inspired mindfulness to help you reduce inflammation, quiet stress, and build real, lasting resilience—from the inside out.

My teaching isn’t about pushing harder or perfecting a pose. It’s about showing up with presence, meeting yourself where you are, and expanding what you’re capable of—on purpose.

I also work with cancer survivors and oncology patients, integrating strength and mindfulness into their healing journeys. Care, curiosity, and deep listening shape every part of my approach. My students often tell me they feel safe, seen, and stronger than they expected.

A little backstory

I first found yoga at sixteen, through the lens of Buddhism, and it’s been my north star ever since. I’ve studied and taught Vinyasa, Yin, and Restorative yoga for over a decade, alongside mindful, insight, and guided meditation.

In 2012, I became a certified personal trainer to help women build strength they could trust. In 2022, I added nutrition coaching to support healing from multiple angles.

If you're looking for a practice that supports you fully—body, mind, and spirit—I'm here.
Let’s walk this path together.
